Family Support Worker:
C.A.R.D. Head Start is seeking a Family Support Worker (FSW) to assist families in accessing health, wellness, and social services while ensuring compliance with Head Start Performance Standards. This position involves coordinating referrals, conducting home visits, and tracking child health data to support family and community engagement.
Key Requirements:

Associate’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field (or actively pursuing a degree).
-
If no degree, must obtain a family services certification within 18 months of hire.
-
1-3 years of experience in social services or family support (Head Start experience preferred).

Strong communication and organizational skills to support families effectively.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and ability to pass background checks.

Assist families with health screenings, referrals, and follow-ups for medical and dental needs.

Conduct home visits and provide support for family engagement activities.

C.A.R.D. Head Start classrooms serve children ages 3 to 4 years old, maintaining a nurturing environment with a ratio of 12 children to 1 teacher. (This is a collaboration with the public school in Catoosa with a 4 day work week.)
